How to Use DrawTactics

Getting Started

When you open the Tactics Board, you'll see a full football pitch with an intuitive toolbar on the left side. All your drawing tools are organized by function to help you work efficiently.

Players

The board starts with eleven a side, but you can delete and add players as you wish. Drag a player to move it around the pitch. Select one or multiple players to change their colours in the sidebar.

Drawing Shapes

• Click the shape button in the sidebar (Circle or Rectangle)
• Change fill colour and opacity in the sidebar
• Click and drag on the pitch to draw the shape
• Resize after creation: Select the shape and use the corner handles to adjust size or rotate

Arrows

• Click the Arrow tool in the toolbar
• Customize arrow colour and style in the sidebar
• Drag from where you want the arrow to start to where you want the arrow to end

To curve arrows or change start/end points:

• Double click the arrow you want to edit
• Use the control points to edit your arrow

Text

• Type your text in the entry field in the sidebar then click Add Text
• You can also edit the colour of selected text

Deleting Objects

• Select the object(s) you want to delete
• Press the Delete Selected button or use the Backspace key on your keyboard
• Use the "Clear All" for a blank canvas

Saving Your Work

• Export your diagram using the Save as PNG button
• Your tactics board will be saved as a high-quality image
• The file will download to your device automatically

Getting Started

Uploading a Screenshot

• Click "Upload Screenshot" and select your image
• Your screenshot will appear as the canvas background
• The image is locked in place and cannot be moved
• As with the tactics board, drawing tools are available in the left sidebar

Select

This is your default mouse cursor. Remember to toggle this back on before trying to select an object.

Player Markers

• Click to place markers on players
• Remember to click "Break Chain" when you want to prevent your last marker from connecting to the next one

Arrows

• Click the Arrow tool in the toolbar
• Customize arrow colour and style in the sidebar
• Drag from where you want the arrow to start to where you want the arrow to end

To curve arrows or change start/end points:

• Double click the arrow you want to edit
• Use the control points to edit your arrow

• Choose text colour before you Add Text
• Type your text in the entry field in the sidebar then click Add Text

Deleting Objects

• Select the object(s) you want to delete
• Use the Backspace key on your keyboard
• Use the "Clear All" to remove all annotations

Saving Your Work

• Click Save as PNG
• Your annotated image will download
